Crypto media has a women problem. Of the largest crypto publications, the vast majority of editorial staff are men, the bylines are predominantly male, and the tone of coverage reflects that. We are building the alternative. Our editorial team will eventually be majority women, our bylines will reflect that, and our coverage will be shaped by writers who understand the audience we serve because they are part of it.

If you write thoughtfully about crypto, finance, RWA, DeFi, security, regulation, or related topics, and you want a publication that values careful work over hot takes, we want to talk to you. The roles below are how we work with contributors today. We will add more as the publication scales.

Freelance contributor

REMOTE $200 to $500 PER ARTICLE 1 TO 4 PIECES PER MONTH

Write cornerstone articles, analysis pieces, or news features for WICG. We work with a small group of trusted contributors on a rotating basis. The bar is high: every published piece goes through our full editorial process, including fact-checking, editing, and disclosure review. Contributors who deliver excellent work consistently get first dibs on future assignments.

What we're looking for

  • Published clips (anywhere, including personal Substacks or blogs)
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of: RWA, DeFi, stablecoins, regulation, security, tax
  • Ability to write in plain English without crypto jargon
  • Comfort with our editorial standards (no shilling, no price predictions, no conflicts of interest)
  • Reliability on deadlines

Community contributor

REMOTE UNPAID 2 TO 5 HOURS PER WEEK

Help moderate and grow the WICG Facebook community. We're looking for active members who already participate in the group and want to take on a more visible role: welcoming new members, answering common questions, surfacing good discussions, and helping maintain the no-bro-energy culture we've built. As we transition to a paid community tier, community contributors get first access to paid roles.

What we're looking for

  • Existing WICG community member (6+ months)
  • Patient with beginners, generous with knowledge
  • Comfortable with light moderation tasks
  • Available 2 to 5 hours per week, distributed across the week
