WICG is in early growth mode. We are not hiring full-time staff yet, but we are actively looking for freelance contributors, expert collaborators, and women who want to write about the topics they know best. If that's you, read on.
Crypto media has a women problem. Of the largest crypto publications, the vast majority of editorial staff are men, the bylines are predominantly male, and the tone of coverage reflects that. We are building the alternative. Our editorial team will eventually be majority women, our bylines will reflect that, and our coverage will be shaped by writers who understand the audience we serve because they are part of it.
If you write thoughtfully about crypto, finance, RWA, DeFi, security, regulation, or related topics, and you want a publication that values careful work over hot takes, we want to talk to you. The roles below are how we work with contributors today. We will add more as the publication scales.
Write cornerstone articles, analysis pieces, or news features for WICG. We work with a small group of trusted contributors on a rotating basis. The bar is high: every published piece goes through our full editorial process, including fact-checking, editing, and disclosure review. Contributors who deliver excellent work consistently get first dibs on future assignments.
Help moderate and grow the WICG Facebook community. We're looking for active members who already participate in the group and want to take on a more visible role: welcoming new members, answering common questions, surfacing good discussions, and helping maintain the no-bro-energy culture we've built. As we transition to a paid community tier, community contributors get first access to paid roles.
The first full-time editorial hire. Responsibility for daily news brief production, weekly cornerstone article, and editorial oversight of contributors. This role will be posted when WICG reaches the revenue threshold to support it (likely Q3 to Q4 2026). If you would be interested in this role when it opens, email us at careers@womenincryptoglobal.com with the subject line "Senior Writer / Editor interest."
Lead the WICG community, both the free Facebook group and the premium community tier launching in summer 2026. Responsible for member engagement, content programming, member-only events, and growth. Strong fit for someone with existing community management experience in financial services, education, or media. Likely opens when the premium tier crosses 500 members.
