Women in Crypto Global is the leading independent publication for the 44% of new crypto wallet holders who are women. We exist to make sure that, this time, the rewrite includes us.
For most of modern financial history, women were either excluded from the conversation entirely or addressed as an afterthought. Banking, investing, real estate, retirement planning. The infrastructure, the language, the marketing, the boardrooms. All of it was built by men, for men, with women as a secondary market to be educated into accepting the system as it stood. When crypto emerged in the late 2010s, it threatened to repeat the same pattern. Early crypto media was written for men, by men, with a vernacular and tone that actively pushed women away. We started Women in Crypto Global in 2021 to change that.
Today, the data is clear. Women are not crypto's audience. We are crypto's growth story. The largest cohort of new wallet holders in 2026 is women aged 45 to 59. The fastest-growing demographic of crypto investors globally is women. The category of crypto that aligns most closely with how women prefer to invest (real-world assets, stablecoin yield, regulated platforms) is the fastest-growing category in the entire space. The financial system is being rewritten in real time, and for the first time in history, women are arriving at the table early.
WICG is an independent media publication. We report on crypto, blockchain, and Web3 with a specific editorial focus on the topics that matter most for women building wealth: real-world assets, stablecoin yield, tokenized real estate, regulation, security, and the news that genuinely changes how women should think about money. We cover the daily market when it matters and skip it when it doesn't. We write in plain English. We assume our readers are intelligent adults who do not need to be condescended to.
We are also a community. The WICG Facebook group, founded in 2021, is home to over 8,000 women learning crypto together. The site you are reading is the publication arm. The newsletter (Tokenized Report, published Sundays) is the digest. A premium community tier launches in summer 2026 with deeper resources, member-only research, and monthly office hours.
We are not a course or a coaching program. We are not a token project. We do not take affiliate compensation from exchanges or protocols we cover. We are not a Twitter influencer brand. We do not promise you 100x returns, generational wealth, or financial freedom. We do not believe in shortcuts, get-rich-quick narratives, or any version of crypto culture that treats serious investment decisions as entertainment.
We are not a publication that addresses women as if we are different from other readers. We do not write "crypto for moms" or "the girl's guide to blockchain." We assume our readers are professional women, sophisticated investors, careful learners, and capable adults who happen to want media built for the way they actually live and invest. That is the only difference.
Six principles guide everything we publish:

WICG was founded and is currently led by Julie James, a long-time community builder and crypto investor who started the original Facebook group in 2021 when she realized there was no media publication that addressed women in crypto the way the audience actually needed to be addressed. The publication you are reading was built independently, on a lean budget, with the goal of becoming the trusted media brand for women in the next generation of finance.
If you want to reach Julie directly, the best path is the newsletter (she replies personally to subscriber replies for the first year) or the contact form at womenincryptoglobal.com/contact.
The next three years are the most important time in the history of women in financial markets. The shift from analog finance to on-chain finance is real, and it is irreversible. Women who enter this category with good information will compound that advantage for decades. Women who stay on the sidelines because they do not have a publication that speaks their language will miss it.
Our goal is not to be the biggest crypto publication. Our goal is to be the publication that women trust most. Five years from now, we want WICG to be cited the way the Wall Street Journal is cited, recognized the way Morning Brew is recognized, and trusted the way your sharpest friend is trusted. We are building toward that, one article, one newsletter, one community conversation at a time.
